OK, for a change a list without music. But I’m gonna keep it simple anyway. Just a list of 10 favorite PC tools. Little software packages that I use more than occassionally and come in quite handy. Do you have any tools or programs you use all the time? Let me know in the comments.
10. Exact Audio Copy
Occasionally I still grab audio from CD’s, EAC is the perfect tool for this.
9. Audacity
Need to edit some audio? Then Audacity is the perfect open source tool to do so.
8. Recuva
Accidentally deleted an important file? Lost files after a computer crash? No problem – Recuva recovers files from your Windows computer, recycle bin, digital camera card, or MP3 player!
7. Treesize
Perfect little tool to find out what is eating all your harddisk space.
6. Irfanview
I use graphics viewer to replace the standard Windows viewer.
5. Winrar
Some people prefer WinZip, 7Zip or one of the many other compression/unpacking tools. I prefer Winrar.
4. VLC Media Player
Open source mediaplayer that plays anything.
3. Classic Shell
Since I still can’t get used to the newer Windows Start menu’s, I use Classic Shell to get the old Windows Start menu back.
2. Speccy
Nice little tool to find out the specs of a machine.
