As I mentioned in yesterday’s blog, I have quite some records from 1993 in the collection. Therefore I was not sure yet what today’s list would bring. But hey, it’s my blog, so my rules. So without any rules, I just present favorites from 1993 from my personal collection. And since around that time my favorite band The Orb was pretty productive, they are well represented in this list. Enjoy!

1. The Orb – Morphology
In 1993 lots of Orb bootlegs were floating around. For some people it was not clear that these were unofficial release since I spotted them in multiple regular record shops at the time. Morphology is by fa my favorite bootleg since it contains some of my favorite Orb remixes.
2. Material – Mantra (Praying Mantra Mix)
Another great Orb remix.
3. Falconer – Falconer
Debut album from Andy Falconer who worked with the Orb on several albums. He is still making great music. Check his bandcamp page here.

Yes, there is more in life than Orb. Let’s pick up some early trance.

Yep, finishing with more Orb remixes. Japanese release only, but I was able to score this at Boudisque in Amsterdam. Great artwork too.
