Day 281: New Vinyl in da house

Last week I got a lot of new vinyl in da house. I found a specific record on Marktplaats for a really small price. Shipping was more than the record itself, so I had to buy some more. Six in total which got delivered on my birthday.

Furthermore I ordered some items online and got the message that I could pick them up in the store on Thursday. Since there is a small second hand record shop close to the shop where I had to pick up, I had a look there as well and score two nice records.

On Friday afternoon I went to the DJ Academy again. The owner bought a huge lot of records some time ago. Since they are clearing out the practice room, I was presented a bag with about 25 records, all kind of stuff.

And to complete this saga, I just returned from a record fair in Amstelveel, and made some nice purchases as well. So since I will be away this evening as well, I’m keeping it simple and present the finest records I scored this week.

1. VA – Hard Beat Italy EP3

Why this EP? Well because BK’s Revolution is on this EP. A favorite tunes from both myself and Natas for a long long time.

2. Signum – What Ya Got 4 Me

Another track that we heard countless times on all parties we went. Great track from Dutch producer Ron Signum Hagen.

3. Rodriguez JR – Feathers & Bones

A couple of month’s ago DJ Dimitri posted a track on his Facebook page. After some investigation I found out that the track was called Amplify. I already played it a million times on Youtube and still love it. When you find out the track is released on transparent vinyl it is easy, just get it!

4. VA – Zillion (OST)

We recently watched the movie Zillion about this legendary club in Belgium. After watching the movie I felt the urgent need to get a timemachine so I could actually attend this club. Wow! The album contains various tracks, mostly trance. This is my favorite.

5. Digitale – New York Doll

This 12″ was in that bag that I got from the DJ Academy. It contains a remix by Thrillseekers who I mentioned earlier this week.

6. Alison Limerick – Where Love Lives

Can’t believe this i so old, 1990, still a great record, what a vocal.

7. Rui Da Silva fr Cassandra – Touch Me

One of my favorite tracks from Tiesto’s In Search Of Sunrise 2 mix.

8. Fragma – Outlast

The cover mentions incl most wanted Toca’s Miracle Mix by DJ Garry. Well, that one does not do it for me, this track does.

9. Bronksi Beat – Smalltown Boy

If you pick the right moment you can still play this these days.

10. The Orb & David Gilmour – Metallic Spheres In Colour

Have to admit that I did not listen to it so far. I actually want to plan a listening session for this.
