oday was day two of my ITIL training. I’m really fortunate because I’m the only participant, so it’s essentially like having a private training session. All the attention is focused on me, and there are no delays caused by other participants.
Another advantage of the training is that it’s helping me get used to working a full day again. Somewhere in the near future, I’ll probably find a new, cool job, and that will take some getting used to after these luxurious few months when I didn’t have to work.
And when I do get back to work, it’s important to do it with focus but also without neglecting myself. Of course, there will be times when I need to work hard, but it can be done in a fun and relaxed way. That’s why I’ve been looking around and now present 10 tips for working in a relaxed manner:
- Start the day with the most important task.
- Focus on one thing at a time.
- Listen more, talk less.
- Think in challenges, not problems.
- Dare to say no.
- Pay attention to what gives you energy.
- Don’t take everything too seriously.
- Go outside and move.
- Arrive 5 minutes early for an appointment.
- Don’t forget to smile!
