Day 202: 1990 Time for the guru

OK, change of plans. In yesterday’s blog I mentioned a song that I would like to have played at my funeral. This inspired me to compile a Top 10 of possible songs to play at my funeral. Off course I do know that 10 songs would be a bit too much. Especially since a lot of these songs are quite lengthy as well.

But my plans got changed. This evening I had another earwurm stuck in my head. 1990 Time For The Guru. Remember that phrase from Guru Josh’s Infinity? I sure do. So this earwurm changed my mind. The funeral list will follow at a later day. Today, I’m having a look at some more great music. And as you meanwhile were expecting, from the year 1990. Although there was plenty of other great music, I did focus on dance music, enjoy!

1. Snap – The Power

Still such a Power in this one, loving it.

2. Adventures of Stevie V – Money Talks

Another timeless classic.

3. Adamski – Killer

A young Seal singing this. I also love the more recent version by George Michael and Queen.

4. King Bee – Back By Dope Demand

Dutch pride, have this on white label 12″.

5. Rob ‘n’ Raz featuring Leila K – Got to Get

6. Depeche Mode – Enjoy The Silence

Iconic song.

7. M.C.Sar & The Real Mccoy – It’s On You

I remember buying the 7″ single at the time, still have it.

8. Beats International – Dub Be Good To Me

An early track from Fatboy Slim.

9. Tony Scott – Get Into It

I’m still regretting that I sold my Tony Scott cd a long time ago. Might score a replacement on Discogs.

10. Deee-lite – Groove is in the heart

Is that funky or not?
