Day 18: My favorite actors

As I like to watch a good movie or series every now and then, I was wondering what my favourite actors are. As with all lists this is just a shortcut of my brain. I am already now thinking about some changes. But for now, these are my favorites.

10. Ryan Reynolds

Looking at IMDB I cannot believe that Two guys and a girl is already that old. Looking at the more recent stuff I like Ryan most in over the top action comedy’s like The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard and Red Notice. He is also very funny in interviews.

9. Chris Hemsworth

When looking at IMDB I see Chris has been a busy guy so far. Only saw I few of the movies he starred in, but I’m impressed. Below the trailer from Rush. Extraction is a great one too.

8. Dwayne Johnson

Known for a lot of movies, my favorite is a serie: Ballers.

7. Matthew McConaughey

Matthew won an oscar for Dallas Buyer’s Club. The first movie I saw with Matthew was the film adaption of John Grisham’s A Time to Kill. True Detective is a great serie too.

6. Liam Neeson

Taken, Taken 2, Taken 3, I will find you and I will kill you. Need I say more?

5. Mark Wahlberg

Pretty underestimated in my opinion. Great in action movies, and also really funny in comedy’s. My favorite series Entourage is loosely based on his experiences as an upcoming moviestar. Father Stu from last year was something different, but absolutely great. Other favorites from Mark are Contraband and Ted.

4. Jason Statham

Not that long ago there were basically 3 big stars in action films: Sylvester Stallone, Arnold Schwarzenegger and Bruce Willis. Sometimes it seems like these 3 were merged into one sublime action movie actor. Formats for a lot of movies are a lot like each other. But sometimes you just want action, and not too much thinking in a movie. Statham never disappoints.

3. Morgan Freeman

Meanwhile Freeman is older than Santa Claus but is still rockin’it. Played in 147 movies. 7 movies in the top 250 movies according to IMDB. I can sum up some of his movies. But why, we all love Morgan don’t we? And not only him as an actor, but also his voice.

2. Robert De Niro

Have not seen a decent movie with De Niro for quite some time. But with a track record like his one, there is no argue for this second place. The Godfather II, Heat, Taxi Driver, Untouchables, the guy has an endlist list of great movies. My favorite is Goodfellas.

1. Al Pacino

No further explanation, just two speeches from two favorite Pacino movies.

Damn, watching those speeching gave me goosebumps again 🙂
