I just noticed that tomorrow seems to be stay up all night night. I can’t recollect the last time I pulled an allnighter. And only the idea that I should do one makes me feel sleepy. Maybe I am still recovering from all the allnighters I did in life. Whether it was on holiday with a group of friends relaxing near a good campfire, or while clubbing and enjoying some great DJ sets, I had my moments.
In most occasions there was always music involved. Either life in a club, on a boombox, or sometimes even just a phone. Nowadays the only proper reason to pull another allnighter is if a DJ that I really want to see live is performing somewehere. And to even be more picky, he/she needs to be able to do a proper set, not just those silly one hour sets.
Anyway, to keep you awake on stap up all night night, you might want some good music. So I picked some of my favorite live DJ sets. So good luck and have fun. Or you might do the same as me, just pick one of these sets and enjoy the music during daytime, I won’t tell you are cheating.
10. Solarstone presents Pure Trance Radio Episode 362X (Live in Auckland)
Let’s do a bit of cheating here. I cannot actually say this is one of my favorite sets, since I haven’t heard it yet. But as you might have noticed Solarstone is one of my favorite DJ’s. And based on previous Open To Close sets, I’m sure this will be a new favorite.

8. Orkidea – AH.FM End of Year Countdown 2012
And that makes 3 trance DJ’s in a row. Another one of my favorites, but unfortunately I still have never seen Orkidea live.
7. Fausto – Pendragon Classic Mix
My mate Fausto has been a dj for over 35 years meanwhile. Over the years he has played at every major event in the Netherlands. He also had a residency at Pendragon in the UK in the past. This Classics mix is one of my favorites.
6. Miss Monique – Yearmix2022
If this list would be just about my favorite DJ, than it would be a tough choice who would be number one, either Solarstone or Miss Monique. I think I only discovered this lady somewehere last year. But my o my, I love her sounds.
5. Statenhal 1988-1993 House Classics Mix
An even more recent discovery. I’m following Statenhal on Facebook for sometime, but only just discovered this great classics mix. Bringing back some good memories from the early days.
4. DJ Tiësto – Live At Hyperstate 1999-05-08
From general classics over to trance classics. This is absolutely one of my favorite Tiesto mixes, played this a lot in the car.
3. Paul Oakenfold – 25 Years Essential Mix
More (trance) classics. Love the way this set is built up and love the tunes, again, so many good memories.
2. DJ NoFear – HardHouseSet 23-11-2004
This set was actually a test drive for his set at one of the Roundbass hardhouse parties. Some great vocal, some UK hardhouse, just lovin’ it.
1. Tidy Boys – Live @ 10 years Tidy
If you still had doubt about Staying up all night night, play this set, if will make sure you will be dancing around and you just want more.
