Day 329: Black Saturday

What do we call the day after Black Friday? Black Saturday? I am not sure about that, and Google gives some other sorts of Black Saturdays. But who cares? Since all retailers call this Black Friday weekend, I call today Black Saturday.

And I’m sticking to the same themes as yesterday. But while yesterday’s music had Black in the song title, today I looked for artists with Black in their name, or in the band’s name. And once again, I was able to make a fine selection. Enjoy!

1. Blackstreet – No Diggity

Can’t think of any other music by these guys, but if you do a track with Dr Dre succes is guaranteed.

2. Black Machine – How Gee

Mentioned before in my 1992 list. Also an absolute Waakzaamheid classic, but it did not make that Top 10.

3. Black Eyed Peas – I Got A Feeling

Greatest flashmob I have ever seen.

4. Black Sun – Fat Buddha

Part of Paul Oakenfolds Voyage Into Trance mix on Dragonfly records.

5. The Black Dog – Virtual

6. Paul Simon and Ladysmith Black Mambazo – Diamonds On The Soles Of Her Shoes

From the brilliant Graceland album.

7. Black Box – Ride On Time

8. Black – Wonderful Life

9. Black Sabbath – Paranoid

10. Black Tulip & Wendell A. Morrison Jnr – Jam On It

One of the first house records I bought in 1991.
