Day 246: Viva Italia

Today was the Italian Formula One Grand Prix in Monza, Italy. And just like everyone already expected, Max Verstappen won again. Sometimes it almost gets boring. But besides Max there were more drivers in the race. We first saw a good battle betweem Perez and Sainz, and close to the finish a battle between Ferrari teammates Sainz and Leclerc. Luckily Sainz was able to keep Leclerc behind him and grab the 3rd place on the podium.

Probably not what Sainz was hoping for since he started from pole position, but I assume he will be realistic and happy with this podium place. At least the tifosi can be happy there was a Ferrari driver on the podium.

Since Ferrari did not get the first place, the Italian national anthem was not played today. I don’t expect we will get to hear it during the rest of the season. To comfort the Italians, I will dedicate today’s top 10 to Italian music. Some of them were big hits, other you might recognize from Dutch covers. I excluded Ennio Morricone and Einaudi from the list, otherwise it would have been just filled with some of the brilliant music they created. Anyway, enjoy!
