Just finished watching the Hungarian F1 Grand Prix. No suprise that Max Verstappen has won again. He was just cruising easily for the last part of the race.
Anyway, I was just thinking about all the competing teams of this year. And to make it easy there are 10 competing teams. So I just put them in order from most to least favorite. With a short explanation. I’m having some connection issues for the last couple of days, so I’m not adding photo material for each team.
This is my opinion of today, tomorrow can be totally different.
1. Red Bull Racing
Best team at the moment. Mainly because of Max. Horner seems a cool guy too. Not a big fan of Checo. So I hope Ricciardo will fight his way back to the seat next to Max.
2. HAAS F1 Team
The underdog. Great qualification car in the hands of Hulkenberg. Too bad it sucks during the race. Gunther Steiner is pretty funny, and love the aggressive driving of Magnussen.
3. McLaren
Job well done with all the new updates. Two podiums for Norris in a row. It won’t take long before Piasti will end up on the podium.
4. Williams
Another underdog team. Albon is doing amazing things with this car. Not that much impressed with Sargeant yet.
5. Aston Martin
After the first few races I was thinking that AM would be the 2nd team of this season, and that Alonso could win a race. Unfortunately they seem to get a little bit behind.
6. AlphaTauri
Worst car of all I am afraid, but I hope Ricciardo will show more than De Vries did. At least he finished before Tsunoda.
7. Alfa Romeo
Not impressed with Zhao. Never been a big fan of Bottas, but he is showing some good stuff with this car. And to see him in a different roll (not 2nd driver anymore).
8. Ferrari
I have been a big fan of Ferrari during the Schumacher period. Lately it is pretty shamefull. Strategy wise it is becoming more awkward. Why did they not let Sainz pass crybaby Leclerc today while he was on a better pace?
9. Alpine
Bit colourless team at the moment. Not a big fan of Ocon, but he showed some decent drives. Hope Gasly can show a bit more too.
10. Mercedes
Mercedes at the lowest position? Yep! Why? Because of Lewis, because of Russell and because of Toto.
But hey, what do I know? I’m just a guy watching the race from the couch with a coke and a bag of chips.
