Day 131: Eat what you want day

Are you one of the people that can eat whatever they want and never gain a pound? Or one of the people who just looks at food and is already growing? I belong to the last group unfortunately. For many years I have been way to heavy. At the moment I should still lose some pounds, but it is under control. Exercise is the magic key. A couple of years ago I was running a lot and at that time I could almost eat anyyhing I wanted.

The idea behind Eat what you want day is to celebrate the joy of food and to break free from the rigid rules and limitations that people often impose on themselves when it comes to eating. Whether it’s a slice of pizza, a bowl of ice cream, or a decadent chocolate cake, National Eat What You Want Day is all about enjoying your favorite foods without judgment.

So, then what would be my ultimate list for this special day? Here we go.


1. Cheetos Chipito

Let’s start with some Chipito’s as appetizer.

2. Spare Ribs

From the appetizer, straight on to the spare ribs. Just original taste with some home made rum sauce (whisky sauce where I replaced the whisky with rum).

3. Babi Pangang

One of my favorite Chinese dishes.

4. Steak Tartare

5. Home made hamburgers

It’s hard to beat my own home made burgers.

6. Massaman Curry

By far my favorite Thai dish.

7. Milkshake Strawberry

All this food needs to be flushed away with a drink. Milkshake Strawberry would do the job. A shake from McD is ok, but please bring back plastic straws.

8. Pancakes

Nothing wrong with a decent pancake. Let’s do it over the top: pancake with bacon, cheese and syrup.

9. Dame Blanche

If you know me well, or a regular reader, you knew this one was coming.

10. Cookies

Let’s finish the list with some cookies.
