Let’s step away from both music and TV and do another car list today. As far back as I can remember I have always been a fan of station wagons or estate models. So can make a list of my favorites? Off course I can. The number 1 will not be a surprise since I already mentioned it in another list. And due to the price it is a bit out of reach at the moment. Therefore for today’s list I also looked at some of the more affordable models.
10. 1975 Chevrolet Caprice Estate Wagon
This car was used in Dutch movie Schatjes in 1984. Although I’m not into American cars at all, this one seemed pretty cool at the time.
9. Cupra Leon Sportstourer
One of the more affordable cars in this list. I have driven a regular Leon for a couple of years, which was a lot of fun to drive. The new Cupra design and some extra horsepower makes it even cooler. Love the colored touch with the wheels and logo as well.
8. Peugeot 407 SW
My parents had this car. Absolotely a great car to drive, good handling, lots of comport. Great car for holidays and to drive long distances.
7. BMW M3 Touring
I never been a great fan of BMW, but for the new M3 Touring I will make an exception. And certainly when it had an AC Schnitzer treatment.
6. Skoda Superb Combi
I have never driven a Skoda, but this car seems as comfortable and spacy as the 407 but with a more modern design.
5. Alpina B5 Biturbo Touring
Since a BMW M5 Touring does not exist, Alpina turned the 5 series touring model into this masterpiece.
4. Audi RS4 Avant
The slightly smaller version of my nr1 car.
3. Volvo V70R Estate
Volvo has always been great with estate models. The older 240 seems like a fort on wheels. The 850R was a good starting point for the faster estates and the V70R took that to another level.
2. Mercedes C63s Estate
When it comes to Mercedes my favorite model is the G series. But with the design of this estate model they scored some points too.
1. Audi RS6 Avant
Yep, there it is again, my alltime favorite car. Just checked my lottery tickets this morning, unfortunately no luck again, so I’ll just keep on dreaming for now. Might need to visit my nephew since it seems he has a few RS6’s for sale. So if you are based in the Netherlands and are looking for an RS6 (or other cool stuff to drive) you might want to check his website.
