Day 43: Musical Guilty pleasures

guilty pleasure is something, such as a film, a television program, a piece of music, or an activity, that one enjoys despite understanding that it is not generally held in high regard, or is seen as unusual or weird. Thanks for that explanation Wikipedia. So for today a Top10 of my musical guilty pleasures. In the future I will also do a ‘Dutch only’ version of this list, since there I have quite a lot of those.

10. Bobby Brown: My Prerogative

9. Nena & Kim Wilde: Anytime, anyplace, anywhere

8. Sylver: Turn the tide

Too cheese to play out in the clubs, but a nice one to play out loud in the car.

7. Madonna: Like a virgin

Off course the Queen of Pop needs an entry in a guilty pleasure list.

6. Abba: The winner takes it all

Don’t be ashamed, just play it loud and sing along. Almost any Abba song can be a guilt pleasure.

5. Dolly Parton: Jolene

As mentioned before I have a best of Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers cd (or mp3 nowadays) which is always in the car.

4. Tic Tac Toe: Warum

Darum!

3. Lasgo: Something (Jimmy Goldschmitz remix)

Just like Sylver a bit too cheesy for the clubs. Still need to learn how to dj, but as soon as I have learned this will be played somewhere. This one is also a good test for your (car) speakers.

2. David Hasselhoff: Freedom

The man, the myth, the legend…

1. Jermaine Jackson & Pia Zadora: When the Rain begins to fall

Still have the 7″ single somewhere. I remember I was so impressed by that expended videoclip. This song still gives me goosebumps.
