Day 40: Favorite Entourage characters

As mentioned before in other lists, Entourage is by far my favorite TV serie ever. It is the story of a young movie star (Vincent Chase) and his childhood friends from New York who moved to Los Angeles to further extend his acting career. To me it makes no sense to type an extensive introduction while there is a perfect Entourage Wikipedia page. For me the series is about having fun with friends, sharing, caring and loyalty. A funny feelgood series with some occasional drama. If you have not seen it, grab yourself a copy here, or here (Dutch only). If you prefer streaming, get yourself an HBO account.

Today’s Top10 is the list of my favorite Entourage characters. And since I don’t want to tear the boys apart, I’m not including Vince, E, Turtle & Drama in this list. Enjoy!

10. Scott Lavin

Scott Lavin mad his entrance in the 6th season of Entourage. He worked with E at Murray Berenson’s agency. Scott and E had a sort of love/hate relationship at first. Later in the series they started the Murphy Lavin Group. The role of Scott Lavin is played by Scott Caan, son of James Caan.

9. Billy Walsh

In the first season Billy Walsh is hired to direct the upcoming Queens Boulevard movie. Billy is quite the character. Brilliant, but not always a teamplayer. He constanly clashes with E, but in the end they have a better relationship.

8. Mrs Ari (Melissa Gold)

Former soap actress who stopped acting to start a family. Not dependend on husband Ari because she has a huge family trust fund. Funny, sexy and intelligent. When Ari is getting to much swallowed up in work, she just plans some extra therapy sessions.

7. Marvin

Marvin is Vince’s account and financial adviser. He always complaints to the boys that they should spent less money but they hardly listen to him. The part of Marvin was played by Paul Herman. Well known for a lot of mafia characters. Besides his role in The Sopranos he also starred in 16 movies with Robert de Niro.

6. Barbara Miller

Barbara ‘Babs’ Miller is an agents from another agency. Later in the series she teams up with Ari and forms the Miller Gold Agency. She and Ari are in a conmstant battle and always bitching at eachother.

5. Terrance McQuewick

Terrance McQuewick is the founder and owner of TMA (Terrance McQuewick Agency) and the former mentor, partner and boss of Ari Gold. He is also E’s father in law. This role is played by multi award winning actor Malcolm McDowell. If you like him in this role, you might also like Franklin & Bash.

4. Lloyd

Ari’s assistant who in the end manages to become an agent himself. Despite being bullied by Ari they still have a great relationship. At some point everyone deserve a Lloyd in his/her life.

3. Dana Gordon

Studio executive who had a brief relationship with Ari at the start of her career. She and Ari help eachother out on several occasions. During Ari’s short breakup with Mrs Ari they end up in bed again.

2. Shauna Roberts

Vince’s foul mouthed publicist. It seems like she has no filter at all. I especially like it when she is taking thre piss out of Drama.

1. Ari Gold

Well, this number one could not be a surprise. Hollywood’s biggest and baddest agent. Can be ruthless on business deals, but is always loyal to Vince and the boys. Bullying Lloyd, but still a father figure to him. His Character even got his own book: The Gold Standard. Jeremy Piven received multiple awards for this role. If you like Piven, Mr Selfridge is a pretty good series as well.

While writing this Top10 I found out there is a pretty good Entourage Wiki available, great job guys! Also special thanks to all the Youtube uploaders.

Next week I will do another Entourage Top10.
